The World of Sherpa

Imagine a world where insurance wasn't run by insurance companies.

It's a pretty revolutionary idea. But if you had a blank piece of paper, what would that world look like?
Well, for starters you would be able to get unbiased, personalised guidance. From people you trust. They would use your data to protect you and your family. They wouldn't be paid commissions by insurance companies, or be incentivised to sell you more stuff you don’t need. They would be paid by you, and it would be transparent, and they would be on your side.

All the middlemen who take money out of your pocket would be cut out of the process. And the cost savings from that would be passed on to you. There would be no more of the multiple, fragmented policies you are forced to buy now. Policies that seem to make it easy for insurance companies to wriggle out of their obligations, because they are so hard for you to understand. Instead, you would be able to get one easy solution that was tailored to your needs. Insurance as unique as you are.

Well, stop imagining. Welcome to the world of Sherpa.

The Sherpa team

We're a passionate assortment of serial entrepreneurs, disillusioned industry veterans,
tech geeks, mathematicians, data wizards, and marketing gurus.

Advisory Board

Andrew has created over $1 billion in shareholder value as CEO of Virgin/EMI Music Asia Pacific, as President of Electrolux International AB and as the founder of Saffron Digital (awarded digital company of the year 2009 and 2010). Andrew is also a NED for Forbidden Technologies Plc and other start-ups and non-profit organisations. He was recently awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

Advisory Board

Ben is the co-founder of London-based innovation consultancy Fearlessly Frank, a key strategic partner for Sherpa. Ben has leveraged his background in advertising to develop a unique innovation services business that helps established and start-up entities shape and bring to market disruptive ideas.

Ben's commitment to creative excellence and innovation has made him one of the industry's most exciting talents, recognised by clients as an insightful thinker whose non-traditional background enables him to take a wider commercial view than most of his peers. He speaks regularly on creativity and innovation and has appeared on Sky News and at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona amongst others.

CEO

Chris has spent most of his career advising insurers, most recently as a Partner and Managing Director for The Boston Consulting Group. As head of BCG’s Insurance Practice for Asia, he grew the business to $50 million in revenues, and supported the launch of numerous innovative digital insurance businesses. Chris became increasingly frustrated by his clients' failure to move into the 21st century, and so decided to put his money where his mouth was and launch Sherpa - with the ambition to reinvent insurance from the ground up.
